Viña del Cura, my family’s beloved sanctuary, is the perfect off-site setting for En Casa de Gracia’s boutique retreats, a personal endeavour that seeks to offer a truly unique experience of transformation in an extraordinary natural environment. Over the past two decades, with patience and love, my family and I have restored this ancient olive farm located in the heart of Extremadura, Spain, just a short distance from the historic town of Trujillo. Surrounded by ancient olive trees and lush vineyards, Viña del Cura is now a living, breathing sanctuary: a place of serenity and natural beauty.
Every corner of Viña del Cura, from the main house to the charming cottage and annexes, has been meticulously designed to provide a singular experience of rest, reflection, and renewal. Viña del Cura is not merely a home, it is a sanctuary where life, nature, and creativity intertwine. Rooted in my personal and professional journey, this space embodies profound gratitude, and it is with great joy that I now share it with you..

Getting Here

Viña del Cura is conveniently located halfway between Madrid and Lisbon. Take the A-5 or R-5 (includes tolls) from Madrid. The nearest airport is Madrid-Barajas, just a 2.5/3- hour drive. Lisbon Airport is about 3.5 hours away, while Seville Airport is a 3-hour journey.

Accommodation

The accommodation on the farm is varied and is described below according to category and options. The property has capacity for 10/16 guests depending on the use of the rooms on a single or double basis. The farm includes three buildings: La Casa Grande (the Main House) La Casa Pequeña (the Cottage) and a separate house/studio we call Ibiza. For larger groups, there is the possibility of additional accommodation at the local hotel, just ten minutes down the hill.
The pool is open during the warm months of the year, from the end of May to September. The house has a separate gym and sauna.

La Casa Grande

Ground floor

Los Pájaros: 1 suite with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. (optional extra single bed)
Los Madroños: 1 suite with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom.
El Zaguán: 1 suite with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom.

La Casa Pequeña

Ground Floor

La Celda: 1 bedroom with two single beds and bathroom, dining room with fireplace, separate outdoor dining area under a vine pergola.

Upper Floor

La Terraza: 1 bedroom with a queen bed, shared bathroom with The Blue Room and private terrace.
La Habitación Azul: 1 bedroom with two single beds (+ option of a third single bed) and shared bathroom with La Terraza.

La Casa de Ibiza

Open plan detached house, private kitchen, bathroom and private porch. It can be arranged as a queen bedroom or as a 2 single beds.
